Passion Pit - “Dreams”
When I think about this song, I see myself on the swing set. I am in 5th grade, which was when this song came out, I think. This was a cool time for me, being in 5th grade. I was getting ready to go to Middle School. I felt big, I felt free. When I hear this song, my eyes swell with tears that don’t run, but make me feel elated or like I need a glass of water. And while Passion Pit does a relatively “good job” at emulating the sound of this song, I feel nothing when I hear it. Nice try, PP. But I’ll always go with the Cranberries.
